Always a professional and slick service. Would not hesitate to recommend them. > > > > ![unnamed](https://info.wacarrandson.co.uk/hubfs/unnamed.png) > > Sue Partridge > WA Carr were fantastic in helping us plan our wedding the whole way through. They were able to help with a huge number of different requests and communicated really well throughout. At the event they offered brilliant support when we had issues making generator work including late on a Friday evening. I'd not hesitate to use them time and time again > > > > ![unnamed (2)](https://info.wacarrandson.co.uk/hubfs/unnamed%20(2).png) > > Dan FitzPatrick > Amazing company! I can not put In to words how good the team at WA Carr are! They saved my whole event, when we were let down by a supplier they rushed in and saved everything!! I would recommend them to anyone! If you want to have a successful event then look no further. And honestly I must say the negative reviews I've seen on this account do not reflect my experience at all! They honestly couldn't have been more helpful! > > > > ![unnamed (1)](https://info.wacarrandson.co.uk/hubfs/unnamed%20(1).png) > > India Kendrick # Frequently asked questions What size marquee do I need for my wedding? The size of the marquee depends on the number of guests, the layout (dining, dance floor, bar, etc.), and any additional areas needed (such as a stage or lounge). We can provide a guide based on guest numbers, but a site visit may be necessary for precise measurements. How far in advance should I book the marquee? It’s recommended to book your marquee as early as possible, ideally 6-12 months in advance, especially during peak wedding season (May to September). How long does it take to set up and dismantle the marquee? Setup usually takes 1-3 days depending on the complexity and size of the marquee. Dismantling typically takes a day. We will discuss a schedule that suits your event timeline. What flooring options are available? Common options include basic matting, wooden floors, carpet, or even raised flooring to level uneven ground. The choice depends on your budget and the location of the marquee. Can the marquee be customized to fit my wedding theme? Yes, marquees can be highly customizable. Options include different styles of linings, lighting effects, furniture, and decorations to match your theme. What happens in bad weather? High-quality marquees are designed to withstand rain and wind. You can also hire additional items like heaters, fans, or air conditioning units to ensure comfort regardless of the weather. Do I need a permit or permission to set up a marquee? It depends on the location. On private property, you usually don’t need a permit, but on public or heritage sites, or if it impacts nearby residents, you may need permission.  How do I power the marquee? Marquees typically require a generator or can be connected to the venue’s power supply. We can assess your power needs based on lighting catering equipment, and entertainment systems. Can the marquee be set up on any surface? Marquees can be erected on various surfaces like grass, gravel, concrete, or even sand. We will assess the site and advise on any additional preparation needed. ### LOCATION WA CARR & SON, The Lambing Shed Raans Farm Raans Road Amersham, HP6 6JP ### CONTACT **TEL: **[01923 773611](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/marquee-hire/) **TEL: **[01296 614005](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/marquee-hire/) **EMAIL: **[info@wacarrandson.co.uk](mailto:info@wacarrandson.co.uk) ### MOST POPULAR [Marquee & Gazebo Hire](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/marquee-hire/) [Kitchen & Catering Equipment Hire](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/product-category/kitchen-catering-equipment/) [Table & Chairs + Furniture Hire](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/product-category/furniturehire/) [Tableware Hire](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/product-category/tableware-hire/) [Rustic Hire](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/product-category/rustic-hire/) [Mobile Bar & Extras Hire](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/product-category/mobile-bar/) [DJ, Dancefloors & Special Effects Hire](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/product-category/dj-dancefloor-specialeffects/) ### QUICK LINKS [Trade Catalogue](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/trade/) [Our Coverage Area](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/event-hire-coverage/) [FAQs](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/contact-us/faqs/) [Contact Us](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/contact-us/) [Sitemap](https://wacarrandson.co.uk/sitemap_index.xml) ### FOLLOW US [facebook-f icon](https://www.facebook.com/wacarrandson/) [instagram icon](https://www.instagram.com/wacarrandson/) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpPY2UUcnvKewhVg4qdtP8Q) --- [![wacarrandson.co.ukwp-contentuploadselementorthumbsAdd-a-little-bit-of-body-text-2-qlvwc2k0grrmg3n29shlvzz2ry8phyp02d58rxujm8](https://info.wacarrandson.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/social-suggested-images/wacarrandson.co.ukwp-contentuploadselementorthumbsAdd-a-little-bit-of-body-text-2-qlvwc2k0grrmg3n29shlvzz2ry8phyp02d58rxujm8.jpg?width=400&height=200&name=wacarrandson.co.ukwp-contentuploadselementorthumbsAdd-a-little-bit-of-body-text-2-qlvwc2k0grrmg3n29shlvzz2ry8phyp02d58rxujm8.jpg "wacarrandson.co.ukwp-contentuploadselementorthumbsAdd-a-little-bit-of-body-text-2-qlvwc2k0grrmg3n29shlvzz2ry8phyp02d58rxujm8")](https://info.wacarrandson.co.uk/?hsLang=en-gb) Copyright © 2024, WA Carr & Son ```json { "@context" : "https://schema.org", "@type" : "VideoObject", "contentUrl" : "https://144272351.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hubfs/144272351/67848802_480072889219790_1702527852522928365_n.mp4", "dateModified" : "2024-08-29T08:26:25.496Z", "duration" : "PT39S", "height" : 408, "name" : "67848802_480072889219790_1702527852522928365_n", "thumbnailUrl" : "https://144272351.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hubfs/144272351/67848802_480072889219790_1702527852522928365_n.mp4/medium.jpg?t=1724919985496", "uploadDate" : "2024-08-29T08:26:25.490Z", "width" : 720 } ```
